3 NATURE-INSPIRED INTERIOR DESIGN LOOKS

Nature offers the most beautiful and diverse materials, it’s no wonder hospitality design strives to incorporate spaces that express the connection to nature. With inspiration from around the world, here are 3 nature-inspired interior design looks that deliver sustainable natural materials, warm colors, and organic shapes that enhance the guest experience and offer a sense of wellbeing.

Let’s explore.

With natural product collections ranging from modern to rustic, the durable woods of Bali, ROOT®, and Asheville connect luxury designs and sustainable renewable woods for any bath, guest room, or spa.  Each collection is mindfully named after its surroundings or habitats with a semblance of similar minerals that are a testament to this yearning for naturalness.

Bali.

Bali Indonesia exudes a serene and peaceful feeling with its sheer natural beauty.  With inviting lush bamboo forests, the collection’s name is undeniable.

Bamboo is ethically sourced and is so versatile – with unique characteristics that define a space and deliver the WOW factor.  The natural material has been used in manufacturing and building for thousands of years and is still believed to be the material of the future because of its sustainability. It is harvested without killing the plant itself, which means that bamboo can renew quickly (it’s one of the fastest-growing sustainable plants on the planet).

What is sustainable wood?

Sustainable wood comes from sustainably managed forests. It’s renewable because the forest stewards manage the landscape to prevent damage to ecosystems, watersheds, wildlife, and the trees themselves, taking a long-term rather than short-term view of the resource.

Sustainability in this context means the forest should still be there for generations to come as well as a haven for wildlife.

“There is a movement towards more natural sustainable materials overall in design and living.”
Did you know?

75% of hotel guests said that they would actively participate in the hotel's sustainability program during their stay.

ROOT®.

Designed from freshly fallen fir trees, Root® brings a special organic touch creating a warm and rustic vibe.  This wood is well-known to be incredibly well-built and long-lasting.

Both color options Natural and Carbon, provide earthy tones and unique patterns of high-quality amenities that give a hotel room a sense of “home”.

Asheville.

Warm and rustic doesn't mean unfinished or country. This handcrafted collection can be adapted as chic contemporary, made from paulownia wood.  Paulownia wood is very lightweight, blonde in color, warp resistant, and nails and screws with ease, with no splitting or cracking.

Connect the aesthetic of farmhouse-style elements with design sensibility.

All 3 nature-inspired looks come from renewable resources, woods which play a central role in a natural lifestyle. Why wood? It smells pleasant, feels good, looks beautiful, and can be processed in many ways.  Organic shapes seduce real hand-feelers to touch and use. A natural color palette creates a feel-good atmosphere that nurtures physically and mentally.

When it comes to giving a space more warmth, there is no better material choice than wood. Wood has traditionally been the go-to material, and depending on the finish, still gives a reminder of the natural world.

Different grains make the products unique – always creating a new look for a natural lifestyle. Wood also has an incredible variety to offer with no fear of contact with other materials – a match for every taste.
